Opening Times

Please Note: Access is only through the side door before 8:30am

The Hollies Medical Practice is open from 07:00 on Wednesdays and Thursdays for appointments booked in advance.  Access for patients to the building between 07:00 and 08:00 will be limited to the patients who have booked appointments only and will be via the side door, which is fitted with an intercom.

The practice reception is closed between 12.45pm and 1.45pm. You can still reach us on 01827 217799 during this time. 

Parking & Disabled Access

There is limited parking on the front car park.  There is a public car park opposite and parking available on Hospital Street.  There is full disabled access to the building including disabled toilets.

When We Are Closed:

NHS 111:

NHS 111 is a  24/7 telephone service which patients can call when they need medical help fast, but it's not a 999 emergency.

Calls are free and by the end of the call, the patient will  know what to do, where to go and in what timescales.

In the case when the practice is closed you can call NHS on 111 to speak to a trained Health Advisor. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

 Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

If you require medical assistance when the practice is closed, please call 111 or visit the minor injury unit at Sir Robert Peel, Samuel Johnson or the walk in centre at Burntwood.

Please call 999 if urgent medical attention is required eg in the event of a heart attack or stroke.

Extended Access appointments

Following  a National Government initiative from 1^st September 2018 extra appointments will be offered across the whole of Tamworth (The New Mercian GP Network), including evening and weekend appointments. Extended Access clinics will be offered by reception on appointment enquiry. 

QDoctor

Additionally a new on line digital service will be available on Sunday mornings where appointments will be offered with a GP via the Q Doctor App. All patients with a registered mobile at the practice will have received a code to use this service in May 2019, please click on this link for further details.
