  • About CT Scans (Children)

This video is by the What? Why? Children in Hospital.
When you have a CT scan in the children’s hospital, the radiographer first measures your weight and height. Your mum, dad or someone else who has come with you then gets a very heavy coat so they can stay with you during the scan. The CT scanner is really quick and not noisy. You only have to lie still as a statue for a few minutes and then the scan is complete.

This video is by the What? Why? Children in Hospital.
When you need an Ultrasound scan in hospital, your mum, dad or someone else can come with you. The radiographer puts jelly on the ultrasound camera which can look inside your tummy, your arms, legs and check out any lumps or bumps. It doesn’t hurt and it doesn’t take very long.
