Patients who have been given a Repeat Prescription facility by their doctor can request a prescription by sending their computer slip in by post or bringing it to the surgery.
All requests must be made in writing or by using the on-line request form by following the link below .
We do not accept repeat prescription requests by telephone .
Please allow two working days for your prescription to be processed. A number of local chemists offer to collect your slip so that the prescription can be collected from their premises. We can post out your prescription to you if you provide a SAE (self addressed envelope).
If you have an enquiry about a prescription please ring our dedicated telephone number:
Please do not telephone our main number as we will not be able to deal with your enquiry and you will be asked to re-dial the dedicated prescription number instead.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
